Strike a Pose for the Fans!

You want it you got it...
Okay, so the humans on TV said that the weather was going to suck for all of Valentines weekend, and it did... for all the fools that stayed inside! Ahhh Hahahaha!!!
She sun was out and so were we.

We got out and investigated our favorite spots and decided that you, our loyal fans, deserved a little taste of our modeling days.
The real key to being a successful dog supermodel is the look that says you don't care that the camera is even there. Check out Derek's eyebrow, above. It truly screams, "I AM MORE INTERESTED IN THAT BLADE OF GRASS OVER THERE THAN YOU AND YOUR CAMERA!!".
It can't be taught.
Forget about that Barbizon stuff and go back to your day job, silly humans.
You wanna see beauty, just come here:
Ready? Okay, action photo -GO!
That's right, it really is that easy for us. Look at Darby here. Keep looking, cause she aint lookin back at you... Yup, not even noticing the camera. Starting to see a pattern here? Aint no half steppin in the international model game.

You want to see how we handle a group photo? Deal with THIS:
That's right, three former pro athletes that can't be bothered to see the photographer right in front of them. Darby even shut her eyes for the old "introspective" look.

You have just been hit by a photo montage!

We may sound jaded and elite, but we really love you, the little people. Without you, we wouldn't have people to wait on us constantly and enable our retirement lifestyle of luxury.
So let it be known: we love each and every one of you.

We hope your v-day was as great as it was for our humans and we thank you for stopping by!

Cheers,

We Love the Lazy!

So here in Southern California, where we make our home, its known to be gloriously free of rainy days pretty much year round. We love that. Not big fans of crappy weather, you could say. We love the blue sky.

This weekend had none of that blue sky stuff... rain all up in this mug!
That creates kind of a conundrum for us: should we sleep all day on the couch or split time between the couch and the dog beds?
Derek tries his hand on a dog bed

Yeah, not such an easy decision. It took valuable sleeping time to decide how to lay around correctly!
Hansel tries to make up his mind

Darby chose a bed right away
Looks like Hansel made up his mind

Its all good, because there are worse ways to spend a weekend...
Our people, for example, spent an entire day at some park in Anaheim they keep going to for unknown reasons. From what we hear when we bother to listen to them, the park is infested by a giant mouse, named Mickey.

This is them, at the park Disney-something or something-land, oh, who cares?! Looks like the Matterhorn doesn't have anyplace to lay around, and we sure don't see any snacks in the picture, so forget it!

Thanks again for coming by, its been a great weekend, see you next week ;)

Cheers,

Guess Who's Back...

You guessed right, Einstein, IT'S DARBY!

She came back to us after being adopted for a while and we decided that we'd change her status from "foster" to straight up "pack member" and a full time featured model in our world class agency!

She's actually been back for a while now, and we are all adjusted.

In fact we sometimes let her take the lead on our human walking responsibilities.

She even made it into our Christmas family photo.

We are all really happy to have her, and she could use your love and support to. If you remember, she's a little shy and we have to treat her like a lady should be treated.

Of course you know that means that she gets to eat from the people table when we go out.

We really are happy she's back and we look forward to tons of mischief and doggie adventures together.

Thanks for stopping by and CHEERS!

We Really Haven't Been Gone That Long!!.....

"I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS"

Okay, okay, so maybe its been a year or so. We're really sorry about that, but you can bet we have a valid excuse: Uh, ... ah... we came down with a cold, an old friend came in from out of town. Our phones didn't get any signal... oh you get it.

But you know you can't stay mad at us ;)
Lets jump right back in here with a little history lesson about who we are and why our blog is called MugatusDogs.

Short answer: we are skinny male supermodels and there was once a movie made about us. Kind of an unauthorized biography. It was called Zoolander, and not a lot of people have heard of it. For one thing they replaced us and filled the parts of Derek Zoolander and Hansel with humans.

Anyway, go Netflix it up, or whatever you do to watch movies and you'll find out that Mugatu was the owner of our one time modeling agency.

Derek was a little close with Mugatu.

Okay, maybe we took some liberties on this last picture, but we're just trying to regain some of our glory!

Welcome back, we promise to post a little more often. Make sure you leave comments and let us know you are out there.

Hello Kitty, and goodbye Kitty

In our hiatus, we had the happiest foster sister you could ever imagine!

Her name is Kitty and she loves to bounce around. This lady loves everybody.

We gave her a hard time, but could not keep our eyes off.

We even needed some human comforting.

As happy as she is, she is incredibly polite too. She will never just snap something out of our peoples' hands, she always takes it gently.

And she loves toys. We couldnt keep them in our box!

Kitty has been adopted after just about a month in our house. She is going to a very fine home in Reno and we wish her all the best. She actually just left a few hours ago and we miss her already.

Kitty was an incredible racer and now she is going to be an incredible companion.
We love you Kitty and wish all the best.

Cheers

Newly Retired Racing Doggies

We just watched 17 of our fellow racers come home from racing. We call it a Retirement Day.
Our human group takes a kennel trailer to the track in Tijuana and picks up as many dogs as we have foster homes for. They then take a drive up I5 to LaHabra where a bunch of volunteers are on hand to help out and see the miracle that is the ten seconds that it takes when we come out of the trailer as raciing machines to the moment we realize we are now companions and friends to people.

This is the trailer just coming through the gate. You can bet that behind each door you see, there is a very anxious beast.

Here is one of the first dogs out. He was ready to play with his new humans instantly!

Here's another party animal.

Then they stand around for a while waiting for baths, shots and the various things that ensure their future health that may or may not have been considered while at the track.

Some get to hang out with really good looking dudes;)

Overall, it was a pretty successful day. A lot of doggies are now around to make a lot of humanfolk happy.

Uma thanks you for your continued interest with a pretty look.
Cheers!

Bam!

I realize that some bloggers out there are big fans of Mugatu's Dogs and don't think we've been on our 'A' game...

We're bumping it up a notch by adding video technology to our posts. Thats right, moving pictures.

Here's one of Mamie, back in the day.

How about Bunny's first day off of the track?

And then the be all end all, Hansel and Darby doing the loop. Check out 5 seconds in when Hansel mugs for the camera.

Yup, video. That's how supermodel dogs roll.
Peace.
